The female is one inch and a half shorter. The female is the Cuckeuchea of theBengalese. Among the drawings of the Birds of Ceylon, by the late Mr. , is one, apparently of the male of this species, but wantingthe white bar on the breast; in this, the crown of the head is black;from the chin to the breast ash-colour; tail cuneiform, ends name Holcmunnah.
