Armeria (Sea Plnk or Thrift) Attractive dwarf plants that will succeed in any soil, forming evergreen tufts of bright green foliage, from which innumerable flowers appear in dense heads, on stiff wiry stems, from 9 to 12 inches high. They flower more or less continuously from early spring until late in fall. Very useful in the rockery as well as in the border. Cephalotes Rubra. A strong growing variety with large heads of crimson-red flowers. Laucheana Rosea. Bright rose. Maritima Alba. A pretty pure white. 25 cts. each; per doz.; per 100. Artemisia A most useful class of plants, either for the border or for filling in within the shrubbery. With the exception of the variety Lactiflora they are not remarkable for their flowers; the foliage of the sorts offered is very orna- mental. All the varieties excepting Lactiflora stand cutting down to 5 or 6 inches when used in carpet or ribbon bedding. Abrotanum (.OW Man, or Southern-wood). Dark green, finely cut foliage, with pleasant aromatic odor; 2 feet. Lactiflora {Hawthorn-scented Mugwort). Illustrated in color and offered on page 177. Stelleriana {Old Woman). Deeply-cut foliage; much used in carpet bedding, 18 inches. 25 cts. each; per doz.; per 100.
