Black and White view of the Majestic Gothic Abbey church of the Jedburgh Abbey in the Scottish Borders. The Jedburgh Abbey was founded by King David in 1138, on the site of a 9th century church. The abbey has been destroyed multiple times due to its close location to the much-disputed English and Scottish border, until it was finally abandoned in the 19th century, when a new parish church was built.
