In Powder River County, it was found in blowouts associated with outcrops, and on the sandstone out c r op s til em s el ve s. Comments: This species is potentially affected by road constiuction, subdivision, and exotic species invasion. The principal habitat and perturbation ecology of this species still needs clarification. All of the population numbers in the study area weie veiy low, but tliere were no immediate management concerns identified. Phlox andicola E. Nels.
