Thirteen anti-Islamists from the far-right “South East Alliance”, a splinter group from the English Defence League, held a protest at the Cricklewood offices of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood. They were met by up to 200 counter-protesters from various anti-fascist movements and a large police presence. Anti-fascists managed to block Cricklewood high Street before police moved them aside as both groups traded insults across the street. Heavily outnumbered, the South East Alliance retreated to Kilburn station under police protection as across the road, dozens of anti-fascists, escorted by police shadowed them, goading them with insults.
