venerred cabinet in the Palace or Castle of Hellbrunn in Salzburg in Austria

Hellbrunn is situated at Salzburg's southern city limits. The palace was built by the Italian Santino Solari between 1613 and 1619 under the orders of his reigning arcbishop, Markus Sittikus. The Water Garden at the Palace of Hellbrunn has many 'trick' fountains that wet everyone who enters the gardens. The table and stools is particularly tricky. The Prince Bishop would seat guests at his table and during the meal he could turn on the water which gushed through the seats of the guests. They were not allowed to stand in his presence and so had to endure sitting with wet clothes whilst he laughed his head off. Salzburg was the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the setting for the film of the Von Trapp Family - the Sound of Music. The Hohensalzburg fortress is the most complete fortress from the medieval times that is left in Europe. The streets are narrow and quaint and the locals love to wear the national dress of Austria. The Residenzplatz faces the Palace of the Prince Bishops who ruled the city which is now a museum and art gallery
