An 1837/1864 officer's pouch, 1st Uhlan Regiment. A leather box covered with black Moroccan leather, silver-plated German silver lid. Includes the bandolier, silver lace with three interwoven light blue threads on black Moroccan leather backing. Chain fastening with a gilded crowned cipher "L". Lace is scarcely darkened. Departing from regulation, the officers of the 1st Uhlans initially wore the cartridge box with black instead of red Moroccan leather.
