We copy fromthe report of the Committee on Condol-ence: Brother Amber was an earneststudent, carefully preparing himselffor the work by taking a biblicalcourse at U. C. College and graduatingfrom the same institution. During hisministry he filled a number of pulpitsas pastor to good acceptance, his lastcharge being at North engaged in active work, he wascompelled to lay aside his labor, hop-ing that by careful treatment he mightbe restored to usefulness. His minis-try was a success, as all who knew himcan testify. His last words were, Iam going to rest. REV. ELDER GEORGE ABBOTT United with Eel River Conference as alicentiate member at its fourth annualsession which was held at PleasantGrove in 1847. He was ordained in thesame church in 1849. Elder Abbott was born in Preblecounty, Ohio, September 18, 1817, anddied in North Manchester, March 30,1894, aged 76 years, 6 months and 12days. He was the son of James andCatherine Abbott, both of whom weremembers of the Christian Georg-e was 17 years old hisfather moved to Kosciusko county,Ind., where tog-ether they cleared upa farm in the green woods. He wasmarried to Nancy Barrett in 1838, andimmediately moved to a place four miles east of North r^Iauchester, wherehe began clearing a farm
