Cuilapan Ex convent, Oaxaca, Mexico: a Dominican Convent built in 1555, called Cuilapan after its location in the village of Cuilapan de Guerrero, Oaxaca State Mexico. The open-air church was built on a indigenous temple in an area inhabited by Zapotec and Mixtec people. Deposed President Vincente Guerrero was imprisoned and executed at the site on February 14, 1831 during the war for independence.
