The Trans Confluence, formed by a score of organizations that fight for the rights of transsexual people, held a rally this Saturday at the Puerta del Sol in Madrid to demand that the Government urgently process the Trans State Law. The president of the Trans Platform Federation, Mar Cambrollé, has emphasized the need to depathologize trans identities and has criticized that after having registered a text of the law in February 2018, there seems to be no political will to prioritize the rights of trans people. For her part, Natalia Ventín, spokesperson for the Trans Confluence, explained that as the mother of a trans person she has lived through a very long court process to get minors to be included in the current law. Trans people from all over Spain have supported the protest demonstration under the slogan 'Now trans rights, Trans State Law NOW', on Gay Pride Day, the first in history without a street demonstration due to sanitary measures to combat COVID-19
