Apprentice Thatcher Jonty Jackson lifts bundles of thatching straw to repair the roof of Anne Hathaway's (Shakespeare's mother) cottage in the small Warwickshire town of Stratford-upon-Avon. The thatching will take 12-weeks to complete, and is work undertaken once every 30-years. The next time that the repairs will take place is due to be 2038.
