Löwendal Cultural Foundation Palace in Bucharest, Romania

Löwendal Foundation is promoting the arts. Baron George Löwendal passed on to daughters Lydia and Irina, apart from paintings and drawings, an impressive archive containing photographs, documents and manuscripts. His niece, Ariadna Avram, Irina’s daughter, worked hard to preserve the legacy of this exceptional artist, starting with the purchase of the building in central Bucharest – the Neo-Romanian villa designed by Petre Antonescu – which is now home to the “Löwendal Cultural Foundation” (inaugurated on May 10, 2010).
