Other flowers noted are tritonias, cut acacia in variety, lilac, amarvllis, the first Spanish iris of the season, yellow marguerites, calendulas, ten weeks' stocks and forget-me-nots. Plant trade, with the more open weather, has taken quite a spurt. Various Notes. Several exhibits w'ere inadvertently omitted from the list shown at the club meeting February 20. These included superb Gorgeous and Benora carnations from Peter Fisher, a splendid collec- tion, comprising Gloriosa, Pink Delight, White Wonder, Loris, Golden Ray, Fenn, Beacon, Helen Goddard and a new seedling fiom S. .1. Goddard and excellent Fenn, Pink Delight and a Winsor sport from W. D. Howard, of Milford. The display of exhibits was the largest in the club's history. John T. Gale, of Tewksbury, has a house 28x150 containing ;1,000 Camp- bell violets, which gives him many thousands of flowers daily. He has a smaller house also devoted to them, also a house 30x200, containing .1,000 Prin- cess of Wales. His other specialties, all of which are well grown, are yellow marguerites and sweet peas. Mann Bros., of Randolph, our largest bulb specialists, have an immense daily output of hyacinths, narcissi and tulips. They find a good call for La Reine, pure white as well as pink in color.
