Photo by Anandajoti (CC BY ). Zhu Zizhen was a minor character from the classic Ming Dynasty novel 'Fengshen Yanyi'. Zhu Zizhen was one of the Seven Sacred Meishan, a pig sprite who fought for King Zhou of Shang under the leadership of the white ape sprite Yuan Hong. Like many of the other Meishan, he was eventually killed by Yang Jian.
