The district in southern California con-sists mostly of citrus fruits, walnuts, and apricots (see figs. 68 and 69) ; the central(San Joaquin Valley) district, of raisin grapes, peaches, and apricots, with some citrusfruits in the eastern foothills (Figs. 64, 65, 67, and 68) ; and the northern districts ofpeaches and apricots, plums and pnines. gi-apes. walnuts, and almonds, with apples nearthe cool coast, and pears in the foothills.
