Possibly extirpated in Kansas; threatened in Michigan; rare in Delaware and Mississippi. NOTES: Since Mertensia virginica is listed as doubtfully native in Quebec (Bouchard et al. 1983) and New England (Seynnour 1982), these areas are not included on the North American distribution map. HABITAT: Bois de feuillus humides ou détrempés, et fourrés. SITUATION: Peut-être rare au Canada. Peut-être déracinée au Kansas; menacée au Michigan; rare au Delaware et au Mississippi. REMARQUES: Puisqu'on doute que Mertensia virginica soit une espèce indigène au Québec (Bouchard et al. 1983) et en Nouvelle-Angleterre (Seymour 1982), ces régions n'ont pas été indiquées sur la carte d'Amérique du Nord.
