Lahore, Pakistan. 08th June, 2016. A Pakistani mother (Perveen Rafique) in the custody of Pakistani police who allegedly burnt her 16-year old daughter (Zeenat Rafique) alive in Lahore. A mother burnt her daughter alive for marrying a man of her own choice. She had killed the teen for bringing shame to the family before running out the street to tell neighborhoods. It was the third so-called 'honour killing' in the South Asian country in as many months, and a rare example of the crime being carried out by a woman.
