A new train station is being built to the north Liverpool. The Station will be known as Maghull North when it opens which is planned to be in May 2018
Cw 6003 Maghull north station being built. A new station, to be called Maghull North is being built on Merseyside. The new station is on the railway line from Liverpool to Ormskirk which is part of the Merseyside electric network. The railway has been closed to trains from the 27th December 2017 to 8th of January 2018 to enable track realignment and the new platforms to be built. Work is on going with ballast being being placed alongside the new downside platform walls in this view from Park Lane Bridge. Whilst this track possession is in place to allow the engineers to work around the clock the regular Ormskirk to Liverpool train service has been replaced by buses between Ormskirk and Maghull stations.
