Acquired Characters in Trees.— Professor Englers investigations on the influ-ence of place of origin of seeds on the characterof the plants produced therefrom have led himto conclusions of considerable interest and im-portance which are summarised in the QuarterlyJournal of Forestry (October, 1913).
