Robert Knox (1791-1862), Scottish anatomist and surgeon. Between 1826 and 1840 Knox ran a popular anatomy school in Edinburgh, Scotland. Unbeknownst to him, many of Knox's cadavers were supplied by the grave robbers and murderers Burke and Hare. Although he was cleared of all involvement, his name was blackened and he was forced to move to London.
