Composite soldier representing a Polish soldier, Private J. Borzimowski, Co. A., 125th Inf. He weighed 175 lbs and stood 6 ft tall at the age of 25. Borzimowski immigrated to America in 1901 and settled in Michigan. He spoke Polish, Russian, and broken English, with no English schooling. Borzimowski had three brothers in the American army and was considered an excellent soldier by officers. His civilian occupation was a laborer in a railroad machine shop. He was born in Lomza, Poland. The photo was taken by Lieutenant N. L. Dewell on April 5, 1919, in Gullesheim, Germany.
