Jose Silverlo Jorrin, born in Havana in 1816, noted for his strong critical spirit and extreme sense of culture. He published his famous leaflet (brochure) 'Spain and Cuba' of major historical value in Paris, 1876; became a separatist in 1897, dying soon after that.
