The engine, in work-ing order, weighs 334,500 lbs., and theweight of the tender filled with 7,000gallons of water and 13 tons of coalis 143,000 lbs. It has the greatest heat-ing surface ever put into a sq. ft., o which sq. ft. areiti the fire box, and 5, sq. ft. inthe tubes, which latter are 21 ft. power of the locomotive in draw-bar pull is 70,000 lbs. working com-pound, or 80,000 lbs. in simple gear. Theboiler will carry a working pressure of23s lbs. The engine was fully illus-trated and described in the June, 1904,issue of Railway axd Locomotive En-gineering.
