A stone impacted in the lower end of the ureter, at or near thevesical orifice may be removed, in the male, through a supra-pubiccystotomy. The ureteral orifice may be incised if necessary in orderto reach the stone. In females stones impacted in the lower part ofthe ureter may be removed through an incision in the wall of thevagina.
