Tlie N. ± 90^ E. series.—This series has been determined with lessaccurac} than most others, its direction being measured from a num-ber of cliff faces which are each a rod or less in length. These facesseem to be subordinate to those formed b} the faults of the four mostprevalent series. At each fault of this series which has been indicated upon the map, some clifftrending roughly east andwest has been observed. Thatthe direction given is approx-imately correct may be indi-cated l)y the fact that in someinstances lines continuing inthis direction from a point ofobservation correspond withtopographic or geologicbreaks, but this may be for-tuitous. Thus the fault (F)which marks the southernextension of East Hill corre-sponds farthe
