Cloned calf, medical check-up. Veterinarian  checking the health of cloned calf (Bos taurus, tail at lower right). The calf was cloned using genetic material from a Jersey cow. This work is being carried out at the Bio Sidus biotechnology company, in Argentina, which successfully cloned a cow in 2002. The cloned cows are intended to be used to produce human growth hormone (hGH) in their milk.
