After having journeyed successfully through the underworld, Ani finally arrives at the kingdom of Osiris where he will spend his afterlife in the Sekhet Hetepu, “Fields of Peaceâ€Â\x9D or the Elysian Fields of the Egyptians. First, Thoth introduces Ani and his Shade into the presence of a triad of gods. The four divisions, each surrounded by water, are known as the “Islands of the Blestâ€Â\x9D. Ani is shown working in this agricultural idyll, reaping in the second division and ploughing in the third. This is the abode of the departed Souls who “reap splendid Cornâ€Â\x9D.
