Model of Steering Gear, Block model of a stern with twisted mirror, hollow wulf and small closed gate. The control device is built into a semicircular cupboard against the fence. The rudder has a round curved rudder king, with a toothed quadrant. The axle of the steering wheel runs backwards and ends in a gasket on the helm king, this gasket rotates so that the rudder can rotate without moving the shaft. A small gear on the shaft transfers the movement of the steering wheel to the quadrant, this transmission is mounted in a bracket which hangs on the shaft and in which also the quadrant hangs.
