A cased pair of percussion pistols, Merieux in Poitiers, circa 1850. Octagonal Damascus twist barrels with twelve groove rifled bores in 13 mm calibre. Patent breechblocks, stamped "ELG" on the side. The back-action locks bear floral engraving and are signed "Merieux A Poitiers". Walnut half stocks with checkered butts. Iron furniture with floral engraving. Length of each 41 cm.
