The restored ruin of 13th century Holyrood Church damaged in WW2, which was one of the original five churches serving the medieval town of Southampton
The ruins of Holy Rood Church in the High Street which was built in 1320, rebuilt in 1849-50 retaining some of the original fabric, and destroyed by bombs during the Second World War. The ruins were restored in 1957 as a Merchant Navy Memorial.
