Major F. K. Tomkins, 13th Cavalry, between 1909 and 1923. US Army officer Frank Tomkins served with distinction during the Mexican Punitive Expedition and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. Also fought in the Spanish-American War in Cuba, the Philippine-American War, the Mexican Border War, and World War I.
