Some decrease in the arrivals of both roses and carnations is noted and while there is no great amount of business, some improvement has shown itself in prices. Roses, for short-stemmed stock, have advanced to $5 and $6 per hundred, other grades running up to .$35 per hundred, with some fancy Had- ley reaching $50. Carnations are some- what off crop and clean up fairly well at improved prices. Poor grades sell at $3 to $4, with fancies reaching $5 to $8, and Laddie $12 to $15. Violets are abundant and low in price; so are sweet peas. The supply of the latter was surely never so large before at this time of year nor the quality higher. Bulbous stock remains about the same. Lilies move somewhat sluggish- ly; 80 do callas. For Easter delivery 30 to 35 cents per bud is being asked at wholesale. Anemones of good quality The ilzei siven hen
