The reply was it would^if a man had a strong constitution, and was wiUing towork hard tor poor pay. The Doctor settled on the East Hill in 181G, boardingthree years with Captain Jesse Averill. From there hemoved to the Post farm, near by, where he remainedfour years, and from there he went to the Center village,and built the two story brick house where he lived anddied.
