A pair of percussion pistols,France or Belgium,circa 1840. Octagonal barrels with twelve-groove rifled bores in 12 mm calibre. Inscribed "Acier"(steel)on top of the barrels. Patent breechblocks numbered "1" and "2" respectively. Percussion locks with engraved vine decoration. Walnut half stocks with carved vine decoration and fluted grips. Engraved iron furniture. Each is pitted on the left side of the barrel near the muzzle.
