Healthy lungs and heart. X-ray of the human chest, showing normal lungs and heart. At top are the neck vertebrae. At centre left and right are the dark lung fields with clear healthy lungs visible. The lungs are enclosed in ribs of the ribcage. At lower centre the heart (white) is seen protruding to the right of the thoracic spine. The diaphragm is visible at the bottom of the image. Bones of the skeleton include the clavicle collar bones, horizontal bones at upper frame. A chest X-ray may be conducted to detect lung diseases such as pneumonia and tuberculosis (TB).
