A silver-mounted flintlock pistol with detachable butt stock, Johann Andreas Kuchenreuter, Steinweg near Regensburg, circa 1780. Lightly swamped barrel with smooth bore in 12 mm calibre and a silver front sight. The top of the barrel has vine-shaped silver inlays, the inlaid signature "IOH. AND. KUCHENREUTER", and a brass filled rider mark (Stöckel, no. 7717). Two-piece folding, iron rear sight. Inscribed "2" on the brass soldered tang.
