The plants luxuriate in rather moist, partially shady positions, and do very nicely when grown in pots in frames and brought into the conservatory or window garden for winter blooming. This variety bears from 6 to 12 yellow or cream-colored flowers on stems 12 to 18 inches high. [See cut.) 3 for 10c, 30c. per doz., § per 100. Johnsonii. A new variety, and considered one of the hand- somest of all Erythroniums. The plants are as thrifty and of the size and habitof Grandi- florum, freely producing flow- ers of a rich,rosy pink with an orange-colored centre. 12c. each, § per doz. Hyemalis. (The "Winter ;) Early In spring the golden blos- soms of Winter Aconites look charm- ing, resting on an emerald green cushion of leaves and forming a strik- ing contrast to the pure white Snow- drop, Spring Snowflake, and the lovely blue Scillas and Chionodoxa. The Winter Aconite's flower appears in the garden very early. The large golden blossoms often unfold among lee and snow. For winter blooming in pots it is a bulb that all should have; the large golden blossoms show to great advantage. It is per- fectly hardy an d sure to succeed either in the garden orin pots. 6 to 8 Inches high. (See cut.) 2 for 5c, 20c. per doz., § per 100.
