We travelled tillnoon on tlie left bank of the Yauli stream, when wo crossed it by anatural bridge, at a little village of a few huts, called Saco. At half-pm<t two, after a rido over a stony and dusty jdain, bordere<l on eachside by rocky mountains, we arrived at Uie bridge of Oroya. This is achain suspension bridge, of about fifty yards in length, and two and ahalf in breadth, flung over the river of Jauxa, which is a tributary ofthe Ucayali.
