Air Force Airmen assigned to the 31st Operations Support Squadron hold a light during a training session at Aviano Air Base, Italy, March 10, 2022. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 31st OSS Air Traffic Control Tower and Airfield Management section trained with and tested Phantom AZL-15 lighting kits to become familiar with the airfield management contingency response procedures. The landing zone kits and lights are visible from up to 7-10 miles out, and can be remotely controlled from up to 5,000 feet away.
