Seedling carnations and roses have been especially fine this year. F. B. KANSAS CITY, MO. The Market. Shipping business continues brisk and no complaint can be made on local orders. The usual dullness of the season settles down a day or two each week, but if it were not for the great amount of stock brought out by the favorable weather, florists would feel they were doing well. No reports of business fall- ing behind last year are heard. The market is cleaned each day. Club Meeting. The Kansas City Florists' Club met Thursday, March .3, in the salesroom of the Pinehurst Floral Co. A report was submitted by the publicity committee, consisting of the officers and trustees of the club. T. .1. Noll and \V. L. Rock, who were chosen at last month's meet- ing to visit the florists individually and secure sul)sorij)tions for a publicity fund, announced that .tojfins had been subscribed. Before the meeting was over this amount was increased by sev- eral florists who were not in their stores when the committee called. A motion was passed to spend .$500 for Easter advertising. L. R. Bohannon, treasurer, reported a balance of $ in the bank. MLMBER F. T. D; 'ImM GEO. WITTBOLD CO. E^stablished 1867 745 Buckingham Place C\A\C r\ L. D.
