Above are shown three types ofEnglish-made machines which have a good sale in this country. The pumps illustratedare made entirely of brass, with brass ball valves, and are of a strong design. Theyare fitted with six feet of the best india-rubber hose and are sold complete with brassspraying arm, and nozzles for spraying and lime-washing. The spraying nozzle maybe converted into a powerful jet by the removal of the spraying disc. The buckets orcontainers are made of galvanized iron and are fitted with strong brass strainers. The bucket lime-washer and sprayer has a capacity of 2>\ gallons and is made intwo grades retailing respectively at the beginning of the war for 34s. and 38s. ($ $) but are now raised to 36s. and 41s. ($ to $). The illustration showsthe more expensive type.
