Detail of the telamons of the entrance of Palazzo Gio Carlo Brignole (17th century) in Piazza della Meridiana, Genoa, Liguria, Italy

Palazzo Gio Carlo Brignole, or Palazzo Verde, is included in the list of 42 palaces of the Rolli, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2006. Full of charm and culture, it was built by Giovanni Battista Brignole, in 1628, and then expanded and enriched by his son Gio Carlo Brignole, who commissioned the transformation work to the architect Pietro Antonio Corradi, to give the family a residence that would highlight the economic power and noble lineage of the Brignole. The two monumental telamons placed on the sides of the entrance are the work of the Genoese sculptor Filippo Parodi (1630-1702).
