Knoble, stated that a budget of the society's expenses for 1922 had been drawn up, amounting to a total of $15,300. The income for the year was expected to be $16,000. Up to July 1 the society had spent $8,, of which $6, were regular expenditures, likely to be duplicated in the second half of the year, making it })robable that the total disbursements for the year would be approximately $15,000, or within the committee's budget. Secre- tary Young remarked that he doubted if all members understood how sound was the society's financial position, there being in its various funds at the pres- ent time a total of $80,000. The report of J. Horace McFarland, as chairman of the committee on nomen- clature, which was presented in last week's issue of The Review, was heard with interest, since the general impres- sion was that the Official Catalogue of Standardized Plant Names, now in course of completion, would be a volume highly desired by members of the trade. The discussion regarding the report of the tariff and legislation committee, as remarked above, was deferred so that the address might be heard of W. L. A.
