A cased pair of percussion pistols, France(?), circa 1850. Browned barrels with eight-groove rifled bores in 11 mm calibre, patent breeches and dovetailed front sights. On the barrel tops the silver-inlaid inscription "Canon d'acier fondu". Percussion locks engraved with floral designs and iron mounts chiselled en suite. The butt caps fitted with lanyard loops and piston compartments with hinged lids. Smooth ebony stocks with chequered butts. Original iron ramrods with worm. Nice condition. Length of each cm.
