A Greater Racket-tailed Drongo (Dicrurus paradiseus) perched in the forest in Western Thailand


The Greater Racket-tailed Drongo (Dicrurus paradiseus) is a medium-sized Asian bird which is distinctive in having elongated outer tail feathers with webbing restricted to the tips. It placed along with other drongos in the family Dicruridae. It is a large and distinctive drongo characterised by two wire-like spatula-tipped tail streamers (which are often broken or missing). It also has a distinctive creat of curled feathers in front of the face above the beak.
