The picket team was organized by the workers of the No. 7 Huxi Cotton Factory during the "Three Strikes" struggle. "Three Strikes" included work strike, class strike, and market strike, it was a part of the May Fourth Movement, a Chinese anti-imperialist, cultural, and political movement that grew out of student protests in Beijing on May 4, 1919.
