Apollo 15 lunar rover training, 1970s. US astronauts David R. Scott (right), commander, and James B. Irwin, lunar module pilot, training on the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, USA. This is part of Apollo 15 lunar surface extravehicular activity (EVA) simulations. The Apollo 15 mission to the Moon took place from 26 July to 7 August 1971. Scott and Irwin descended to the lunar surface, while Alfred Worden remained in lunar orbit in the Command Module. Photographed in June 1971.
