Clarke county, operating one of the mostflourishing dispensaries in the state, did likewise. The Athens dispensarysold $300,000 a year, and realized in 1907 $55,000 net profit. But thecitizens are gladly meeting the deficiency by an increase of one-fourth ofone per cent, in tax.
