Witches' Butter, Exidia glandulosa, Auriculariaceae. A blackish coloured, disc-shaped fungus found growing in broadleaf woodland on dead and rotting logs and also on living trees on wound tissue. The fruiting body is blackish-brown when moist, gelatinous, black when dry, the tissue is reminiscent of brain folds, with small granular warts, sessile. Aka. black jelly roll, or warty jelly fungus.
