MEDITERRANEAN SEA (June 17, 2018) Sideboys render honors for the departure of Rear Adm. Gene Black, commander of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 8, from the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) after a shipboard visit at sea. During the visit, Black spoke with the ship’s officers and Midshipmen about future changes in the training path for surface warfare officers. Dunham is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
